Welcome to Mayordome! These Terms of Use (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of the Mayordome visual communication platform, website (mayordome.com), and AI carousel editor (the “Service”). By accessing or using the Service, you agree to be bound by these Terms and our Privacy Policy.

By using Mayordome, you agree to these rules. These boxes are here to help explain things simply, but the actual text outside the boxes is what legally binds us.

1. The Service and Provider

The Service is provided by Regina Tavera Villaseñor, doing business as Mayordome, located at Av. Vuelo de la Grullas 200 #106, San Agustín, CP 45645, Tlajomulco de Zúñiga, Jalisco, Mexico (“Mayordome”, “we”, “us”, or “our”).

Mayordome provides an AI-powered visual canvas editor (1080x1350) for creating, editing, and exporting social media carousels.

2. Accounts and Authentication

(a) Account Registration

To use the Service, you must register using a valid email address or through supported OAuth providers (Google, Apple, LinkedIn) managed via Clerk. You are responsible for all activity that occurs under your account.

(b) Account Security

You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activities that occur under your account. You must notify us immediately of any unauthorized use of your account.

Protect your login details! You're responsible for anything that happens under your account.

3. Credits and Billing

(a) Free Tier

Upon registration, users are granted a lifetime allocation of fifty (50) free AI generation credits. Generating one full carousel consumes ten (10) credits. Regenerating a single slide consumes one (1) credit. Using pre-made “Demo Prompts” does not consume credits.

(b) Credit Packages

To generate content beyond the free tier, you may purchase additional credits via our payment processor, Stripe. Credits are available in packages of 100, 300, 1,000, and 3,000.

(c) Refunds

Due to the computational costs of AI generation, all purchases are non-refundable unless otherwise required by applicable consumer law.

You get 50 free credits to start. After that, you can purchase credit packages. All purchases are non-refundable.

4. AI Generation and User Content

(a) Your Content

You retain ownership of the topic prompts you input and the final PNG images you export. You grant us a license to host, process, and store your User Content (including JSON document blobs) to operate the Service.

(b) AI Output

Mayordome utilizes third-party AI models (including OpenRouter and OpenAI) to generate slide text based on your prompts. Because of the nature of machine learning, output may not be unique across users, and may occasionally be inaccurate or inappropriate. You are solely responsible for reviewing and editing the generated content before exporting or publishing it.

(c) Acceptable Use & Prompt Injection

You agree not to attempt to bypass, exploit, or inject malicious instructions (“prompt injection”) into our AI system. Our servers automatically scan for injection patterns, and violating this policy may result in an immediate ban.

You own the final carousels you create. Because AI is unpredictable, make sure you double-check the text before posting it. Don't try to hack or break our AI system.

5. Intellectual Property

While you own your generated content, Mayordome retains all intellectual property rights to the Service itself. This includes our proprietary template blueprints, UI/UX design, software code, rich text formatting tools, gradient algorithms, and features. You may not reverse-engineer, scrape, or copy the Service.

You own your carousels, but we own the Mayordome app, its code, and the underlying template blueprints.

6. Limitation of Liability and Warranties

(a) "As-Is" Service

The Service is provided “as is” and “as available”. We do not guarantee that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that AI generation will always execute within specific timeframes.

(b) Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Mayordome and Regina Tavera Villaseñor shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages, including loss of profits, lost data, or business interruption, arising out of your use of the Service. In no event shall our total liability exceed the amount you paid us in the past twelve (12) months, or $100 USD, whichever is greater.

We work hard to make the app great, but we offer it “as-is” without perfect guarantees. If something goes wrong (like a server outage), our liability is limited.

7. Termination

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account and access to the Service at our sole discretion, without notice or liability, if you breach these Terms (including attempting prompt injection or generating illegal/abusive content).

8. Governing Law and Dispute Resolution

These Terms shall be governed and construed in accordance with the laws of Mexico, specifically the state of Jalisco, without regard to its conflict of law provisions. Any disputes arising out of these Terms or the Service shall be submitted to the competent courts located in Jalisco, Mexico.

If you are a consumer residing in the European Union, you may also have the right to seek resolution through the EU Online Dispute Resolution platform or your local consumer protection authorities.
